The annual financial reports
are elsewhere on our website and include a Profit & Loss statement as well
as a Balance Sheet.
Tom Veitch, an attorney and
long time chapter member, gave an outstanding presentation on
Litigation Minefields and the Financial Service Professional.
Copies of Tom’s presentation can be requested through Lynn Getz, Chapter
Executive, at lynn.getz@sac-sfsp.org. It is very worthwhile reading.
In order to keep the chapter
viable and current, Bob Casiano will be asking for your help, either full
time or part time. If you know of excellent speakers who will fit our topic
areas, please give Bob a call. The topic areas are available elsewhere on
the Chapter website.
I would like to thank this
year’s board members for their help and support: Bob Casiano, David
Sonnenberg, Jerry Mathis, Lynn Richards, Jamie Grosser-Mellinger, Mike
Klein, Jan Zenner. I would also like to express my appreciation to Sally
Munford and Marvin Walker for their recommendations of speakers. Thank you,
also, to our Chapter Executive: Lynn Getz. Last, but not least, kudos to
Van Buren Clark for continuing to handle the Continuing Education offerings
of our National organization.
A “big” thank you is in order
for Amy Dinstel who served for many years as Chapter Executive - even after
moving to Virginia!
The chapter is growing … and
we do need your help with membership. Now that the membership criteria have
changed (see our website for those eligible for membership), you might wish
to recommend a colleague, an associate, or other financial service
professional.
We are continuing our quest
for reciprocity with other financial service organizations. Currently,
members of NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors)
may attend our meetings at our member cost. Efforts are continuing to
inform other organizations of our activities.
